Below is a random picture from these galleries.
The third set of nose art photos was supplied by an email correspondent in mid 2005. Detailed notes on these pictures (name, serial number, Bomb Group & Squadron, notes) in this Word document. The notes are extensive, showing the type of aircraft (e.g. B-17G), serial number, Bomb Group and Squadron, and (frequently) notes about the disposition of the aircraft.
Click on the thumbnails shown here, for larger pictures. Many of these are quite large and have excellent resolution. My favorites of this set are "The Sweater Girl," "Flak House," and the one marked "B-17 G" showing a seated, disconsolate Hitler. The red and yellow colors you see in "Fertile Myrtle" are my own imaginative Photoshopping, interesting, but by no means authentic.

My thanks to the contributors for making these photos available. If you have any original, unpublished pictures of WWII nose art or decoration that you would like posted, please email them to me. Webmaster
